All good points but a post-mortem of the Harris campaign is not complete if it doesn't mention that a large number of Americans would not vote for a Black woman for President.

There is an abundance of contempt growing by the minute for Trumps chaotic program.

The Democrats entire messaging seems to be inflation hasn't come down (Trump might claim it takes time) and we also will deal with immigrants (Trump has a lock on those who hate immigrants). See, for example, Jeffries on Sunday talk shows.

How about pointing out how Trump, Musk, et al. are destroying parts of the Federal gov't that help people for the benefit of the billionaire class? Food safety, health, consumer fraud protection, the list goes on. How about pointing out that a President is not a king? Blatant corruption? Etc., etc.

Get ahead of the likely problems.

There are a lot of low information voters out there and unless the Democrats hammer on these points, those voters won't know. Dean Baker points out that Harris won with those who stay informed and Trump won those who don't.

I beg to differ on why Dems lost and will continue to loose. They stopped representing The People and instead have been representing Corporate Business Interests for decades. It has finally caught up with them.

Are you suggested the Repubs are representing the People?

Not for a moment. No one is. And that’s why the Deplorables are ready to burn it all down. The problem is that they’re bat $41+ crazy. Not that they are wrong about the system screwing them or is. The genius of the Oligarchy is it has convinced them the liberals are the problem. And neoliberalism has enabled that.

No analysis given with hostile opinion. Mark seems to think nothing ever changes.

I have no idea what have you that impression. But I know I’m on shaky ground when I start claiming to know what someone else is “really” thinking.

I’m a bit tired of hearing about how Dems need to adjust their platform and learn how to communicate. Research into district election websites revealed that 15 million registered Democrats had their mail-in ballots Returned Undeliverable or rejected for Invalid Signature, Improper ID or Possible Wrong Date. Others received sealed envelopes and were unable to neatly reseal them. Here is a link to the site of Philadelphia City Commissioners: <https://billypenn.com/2024/10/26/cure-mail-ballot-philadelphia-election/?mc_cid=62d21529b1>. At the end of the article is a list of 174 pages of voters blocked for the above vague reasons. Just above that list is a link to “click here” to access the Phila. elections website. There, scroll down to a “PDF” link to see a list, updated on Election Day, of names of blocked voters and other details of Criminal Election interference. Note that most names are Latino, Muslim, African and/or female, not a coincidence. This is a scheme fine-tuned by the GOP since FL in 2000, OH in 2004, Stacey Abrams v. Kemp in GA 2018, etc. My wife and I were each approved for mail-in ballots. Mine arrived, hers was Returned Undeliverable-same address, both legal names on our mailbox. She was targeted as female with a Spanish name. She took her documents to Phila. City Hall and voted, but others did not know that their ballots were blocked, did not know what to do about it, or chose not to miss work to do so. 3 of 15 million Dems “cured” their ballots, but 12 million did not, 1/3 in seven swing states. That itself is enough to change the outcomes of Presidential & Congressional races! This may be the tip of an iceberg, as Smart Elections, other groups, found that the difference between approved mail-in ballots and those counted was ~ 40 million nationwide. We don’t know who had access to those blocked ballots, with names, addresses and signatures that could be used to create straw ballots for GOP candidates. If we don’t confirm, publicize and remedy this tactic, then Democrats will likely never again be able to win an election! Any suggestions?

We shouldn't just be looking for a national candidate for 2028; we should be building up local grassroots coalitions to take both houses of Congress back with active, tough, fighting candidates in 2026.

To the three i's you could add a fourth - idealism. It seems that Democrats are the sole party that cares about ethics, morality and, indeed, the law. This cannot be a permanent condition - polity and society would have disappeared long ago if it were. So, I would suggest that Democrats be quietly watchful , be prepared to move when the opportunity arises (as it must if we are to survive as a nation) and learn the lesson of the other three i's.

Focus on the Presidential contest is likely the wrong track. D needs to take a page from Karl Rove's playbook and concentrate on State Legislature and Government leaders. D has many policy stands that should resonate with Red state voters, if we make that our focus.

Harris lost because she is female and woke and love wellness. Americans don't think of anything besides their huge sick bodies.
